We’re thrilled to share the wonderful experiences our pupils had during our Forest School sessions this term. The outdoor learning opportunities were a fantastic way for children to connect with nature, build new skills, and develop confidence, independence, and teamwork in a fun and engaging environment. Reception and Key Stage 1 children were very busy exploring the exciting world of mark making using natural materials. They used sticks, leaves, mud, stones, and even flowers to create beautiful patterns and pictures, expressing their creativity while deepening their connection to the natural world around them. It was amazing to see their imaginations come to life outside the classroom!
Key Stage 2 pupils took their Forest School journey a step further by learning about fire safety and how to enjoy a campfire responsibly. After learning important safety rules and practicing safe behaviour, they had the unforgettable experience of toasting marshmallows around the fire - a favourite moment for many! These sessions not only offered valuable practical skills but also encouraged teamwork, resilience, and a real sense of achievement
