At Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, we provide P.E. and competitive sport to build character and embed values such as fairness and respect which contributes to pupils’ all round development.

Our wide-ranging P.E. and sports allows pupils to take pleasure in sport and promotes a healthy competitive element both in school and outside of school.

We ask our parents to encourage their children to participate in the physical and sporting activities that the school organises and to promote a healthy lifestyle both in and out of school.

School Games Mark
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
