Farmer Gow's
Oak and Ash class had a truly unforgettable day at Farmer Gow's in Oxfordshire this term. The children fully embraced every experience from their day. We were able to bottle-feed baby goats and lambs, hand fed animals such pigs, goats and sheep. The children were very brave holding their hands out to feed the animals!
One of the many highlights of the day was collecting fresh eggs straight from the hen houses and joining the farmer to hold the chicks; although they were a little larger than we were expecting! Between hands on animal fun, we went on a treasure hunt exploring the giant hay bales to win a prize. Although it was a very hot day, the outdoor play areas were lots of fun too, which included pedal tractors and an adventure play park. Oak & Ash class returned to school tired but with wide smiles and handfuls of memories of a fantastic day at the farm.
We would also love to say a huge thank you to all of the parents that came with us to the farm; you helped to make it a truly fantastic day.
