In Year 2, the children have been learning all about collage - a form of art where different materials such as paper, fabric, or natural items are layered and stuck together to create a picture or design. As part of their geography and art learning, the children explored the Kenyan savannah - a vast grassland known for its wildlife and dramatic landscapes. They then used collage techniques to create their own vibrant scenes inspired by the savannah, including animals like lions, elephants, and giraffes, as well as the acacia trees and golden grasses typical of the region. The children carefully selected colours and textures to bring their pictures to life. Well done, Year 2!
