Year 1 had a wonderful week, planning and learning skills in order to make fruit salads for lorry drivers on long journeys! We used knives, graters and chopping boards and practised using a 'bridge' position so as to make sure that we were being safe when cutting fruit. The trickiest fruit to cut was the apple and the easiest fruit to cut was the banana.
