We have had a fantastic term exploring the café! We looked at what to do in a café, how to order food using a menu and how to serve food. We wrote our own menus and order forms and explored books such as “The Runaway Pea” and "Don’t Forget The Bacon!". We practised our oral storytelling, which ended in a performance at our Parent Café – we performed Little Bear Takes a Walk and Goldilocks. We have created some beautiful artwork linked to these stories too!

In Numeracy we have explored topics such as numbers within numbers, number bonds to 10 and we investigated shapes within shapes. In RE, we have explored our own Christian faith with a focus on Lent and festivals of other faiths such as Holi (celebrated by Hindus).

On World Book Day, we listened to the story of Elmer and discussed how we are all unique, just like Elmer and their patchwork colours! We worked as a team to decorate our own patchwork elephant.

On the last day of term, we visited the other classrooms in the school to explore the events of Holy Week – this was followed by an "eggcelent" Easter egg hunt!
