This term, Year 6 have been learning about the history of World War 2 and what life was like on the Home Front. They have applied this knowledge to their fictional writing inspired by the book Goodnight Mister Tom, where they wrote in role as the character William Beech, an evacuee from London.

In science, the classes investigated the properties of light and how it enables us to see things. They also conducted an investigation inspired by Isaac Newton to find the different colours of light in the light spectrum.

We would also like to congratulate the children who successfully became Prefects and School Councillors and thank the many children who applied for this position – all applications were very impressive and it was hard to make a final decision!
