Year 3 children at Holy Cross stepped into the fascinating world of mechanics and innovation as they learnt about levers, linkages, and pivots.

Throughout the term, these budding engineers studied the mechanics behind the ancient shaduf to discover how it worked. With enthusiasm and curiosity, students examined existing products, then through the process of designing, making, and evaluating, Maple and Willow class constructed their own moving shaduf.

The highlight was welcoming parents into our classrooms to share the hard work that the children had put into their projects. The joy and sense of accomplishment radiated as our young innovators showcased their creations, truly bringing learning to life!
