Our English book focus was The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. It is about the Amazon rainforest. We had a book hook morning, where we guessed what the animals in the story were and looked at different products that contain ingredients from the rainforest. We loved smelling them; touching them and guessing what they were too. Vanilla pods were our favourites and not many of us liked the avocado!
