As scientists year 5 have been working hard using their working scientifically skills to find out what Friction is and what air resistance is. First we investigated what friction is by making hovercrafts and observing which surface they move across the quickest. Then we looked at which size of parachute has the greatest air resistance. As writers and readers, we took a step into the Characters shoes by doing some drama and role play to understand the characters better and understand their thoughts and feelings. We then applied this to our writing in a letter opening.
