The Tin Forest by Helen Ward and Illustrated by Wayne Anderson

This term we have used the book The Tin Forest to inspire our writing. We started off by coming into the classroom in a total mess! There was rubbish everywhere. We had to understand how the main character must be feeling living in the horrible, windswept tin forest that was full of other people’s rubbish. Over the term we have created our own tin forest animals and watched our own mini tin forest emerge. We have been so creative with our writing and we understand the importance of looking after God's planet and how if we all work together, we can achieve great things.
