In Art this term, Year 5 students embarked on an exciting project linked to their English book Cosmic. Inspired by the space adventures in the story, the children designed, sketched and built their own 3D space stations. The project began with learning how to draw and shade 3D shapes using various media, developing their artistic skills. From there, students let their imaginations take flight, designing creative space stations. They carefully planned how to construct their sculptures using recyclable materials they brought from home, considering how different shapes would fit together and the purpose of each part of the structure. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that encouraged both creativity and thoughtful design!
