During Maths Week we invited parents into our classrooms to take part in some practical maths with their children. We were overwhelmed by the parental response and loved working together to solve different maths challenges across the school. In Year 6, the children and parents competed in teams to be the quickest and most accurate in our Arithmetic Relay – it really did get competitive. Back in the classroom, we were also challenged by an escape room activity. In Year 2, parents and children worked closely together to problem solve in maths. There was also plenty of measurement
